"Worth it if you actually stick with it"
I’ve been using Real Python for a few months now, it’s been worth the money for me. The tutorials are easy to follow, and I like being able to work through everything at my own pace. Some of the topics aren’t really relevant to what I’m doing, and a few feel a bit unnecessary, but there’s still plenty of useful stuff that keeps me coming back

"Good instructors, but I struggled with the way it was taught"
I used Real Python for a few weeks, and I’ll give them credit: the instructors definitely know their Python. That part was obvious quickly, and I don’t think the issue was a lack of expertise.
Where it fell apart for me was the teaching style. Some lessons moved faster than I expected, and I kept feeling like I was supposed to already know the missing pieces. Maybe that’s partly on me for needing things broken down more, but I still found myself pausing and Googling way more than I wanted to.
For what it costs, I personally expected the explanations to feel a little more beginner-friendly and complete. It wasn’t a bad experience, and I can see it working for someone with more background, but for me it just didn’t click the way I hoped.

"I found it helpful overall, especially for getting..."
I found it helpful overall, especially for getting the basics down. But i felt a little frustrated at times because the projects didn’t really line up with what I actually needed to work on. It gave me a decent foundation, but I often wished the examples felt more relevant to real situations I was dealing with.

"Solid for basics, but I wanted more depth"
Real Python has been helpful when I just need a quick refresher or want to look up the basics without digging through a bunch of docs. The writing is usually easy to follow, but I do wish some of the lessons had clearer step-by-step instructions, especially when they start moving past beginner material.
Where it falls short for me is the more advanced stuff. A lot of articles start off strong, then seem to wrap up right when I’m hoping they’ll get into performance, internals, async, or real production problems. For the price, I expected deeper dives and more practical guidance for those tougher topics.

"One of the few newsletters I actually keep"
I get the Real Python newsletter, it passes my quick little inbox test: if I can’t spot something useful in a few seconds, it usually gets deleted. This one usually has practical links, and I’ve found a couple tutorials that actually helped me with stuff at work. It also doesn’t feel spammy, which makes it way easier to leave subscribed.
"Not ideal if you’re brand new"
I’m a total beginner and got lost quickly. The tutorials seem to assume you already know a lot, so I kept having to stop and Google things every few minutes just to keep up. What made it more frustrating is that when I looked for help, it felt like nobody really took ownership of the issue, I just got passed around or pointed back to the same resources.

"What I really like about Real Python..."
What I really like about Real Python is the learning paths. Not just a pile of random articles. Actual direction. Like, here’s what to do next, then this, then that. When I’m stuck or tempted to bounce around, it helps a lot.
The steps feel manageable too. Practical. Not overwhelming. I can work through a bit, stop for a while, then come back and still know where I was. Makes it way easier to stay consistent.

"Covers a ton of Python topics"
I keep coming back to it because I can usually find exactly what I need

"Helpful, but the wording is kind of misleading"
Some of the tutorials were genuinely useful, but a few felt outdated and didn’t line up with the current Python packages anymore. The way parts of it are worded makes it sound like everything is up to date, which is a bit misleading. I kept having to stop and double-check the official docs, and that got annoying fast

"The lessons were actually helpful and easy..."
The lessons were actually helpful and easy to follow, so I did feel like I learned some useful stuff. But I wouldn’t say it was career-changing or anything. The career help was just okay, and my biggest issue was that there wasn’t much follow-up after the initial guidance. I kind of expected someone to check in or help keep things moving, but that never really happened...

"Pretty good overall, but a bit outdated in spots"
Bottom line: I liked it and got value from the lessons, but not everything felt totally current. Some sections were really helpful and easy to follow, while a few felt like they could use an update. Still, overall it’s good
"The video lessons are clear and helpful..."
The video lessons are clear and helpful. I was following along fine, and then—well, a few sections did feel like they dragged a bit, but overall it made the material easy to understand.
"Canceling was actually painless"
I canceled without any hassle, which was kind of a relief. The billing was easy to understand, and I didn’t end up with any random extra charges afterward. I thought there might be some catch, but..

"Great place to learn Python with a really supportive community"
I originally signed up for the Python courses, but the community is what made me stick around. Everyone has been friendly and helpful, and you can ask beginner questions without feeling judged. The whole experience has been really smooth, and the overall vibe is just super positive.

"The code examples have been genuinely useful"
I usually end up on Real Python when I’m stuck on something, and to be fair, the code examples are often what help the most. They’re clear enough that I can copy them, run them, and then tweak them for whatever script I’m working on. Not every article is exactly what I need, but the examples usually get me moving again

"Good lessons, but a bit pricey"
so... I found the site useful overall, and the lessons are definitely helpful. I just think the price feels a little high for what you get.

"The courses are well organized"
I found the courses really easy to follow. Everything’s laid out in a way that makes sense, so I didn’t feel lost while going through the material

"The hands-on practice didn’t really work for me"
I don’t want to be too harsh because maybe it works better for other people, but for me the exercises just weren’t that helpful. I went through them hoping they’d make the material click, but I didn’t feel like I learned much from doing them.

"Good lessons, but the site is a pain to use"
The lessons themselves are solid, but the site feels clunky. I kept getting lost trying to find what I needed, and it got old having to figure out the same navigation stuff over and over. I don’t mind putting in effort to learn, but I shouldn’t have to keep re-explaining the layout to myself every time I log in.
